The title for this article is meant to shock, but I have been left in a state of disbelief about how and why a pedophile is one of the biggest names in rap today. I am shocked an indie writer like myself has to speak up about this topic when the industry should have shamed him out of existence as soon as he stepped on SoundCloud. Notorious clout chaser Tekashi 6ix9ine, also known as Daniel Hernandez started his career by tattooing “69” on his forehead, disrespecting the art of music and straight up harassing people. I have only seen glimpses of his interviews and music through Instagram on MAJOR influencer accounts including WorldStar, which has over 20 million followers. 69 is known for his undeserving hit singles, “Gotti,” “BEBE,” “Tati,” and stupid ass “GUMMO.”

The most disturbing thing about this whole SoundCloud crisis we are facing right now is that the public knows that he is a sex offender. The worst part they aren’t allegations.

According to The Manhattan District Attorney’s office, he plead guilty in October 2015 to using a child in a sexual performance when he was 18. In a video, posted online, a 13-year-old girl was seen engaging in oral intercourse while Tekashi stood behind her. He has been registered under the Sexual Offender Registration Act, according to documents seen by Newsbeat. The rapper then violated his 2015 plea deal by re-offending twice. Do you know what he did to violate his probation? He choked a 16-year-old in a shopping center in Houston earlier this year. The 22-year-old will be tried as an adult and sentenced to up to three years in prison. And don’t even give me, “he didn’t know she was 13.” What 13 year old doesn’t look and act like a child?

So you know what he does on his off time while awaiting trial for having sex with a child? OH, he became the hottest Billboard rapper in the industry.

And no one seems to be slightly disgusted by it- which is even scarier. Nicki Minaj, the biggest female rapper in the game, who has had a rain for over 10 years recently just endorsed him. Hey Nicki how’s your brother doing?

Almost every single he puts out gets over 100 million views, and that’s a low number for him. His interview with New York’s 105.1 has over 14 million views where he proudly says he doesn’t care about his music and his fans are just mindlessly eating his shit up. I am not putting words in his mouth either, he actually said that.

He states that he does not write his music, he does not take his craft seriously and doesn’t even know how people like his idiotic screaming scattered with poor lyrics. He can’t fathom how he got to this level of fame and he is riding the wave of it all, disinterested in the consequences of the nearing shoreline.

The main problem here is why are we promoting an artist that literally doesn’t have talent, doesn’t write his own songs and disrespects music?

He even makes fun of being a pedophile by posting pictures of his court dates, which gather a million likes??

What people don’t understand is the negative vibrations and energy they let into their worlds while mindlessly consuming his music. Although one has distance through their speaker, it is small microaggressions that make listeners accept his actions and allow his energy into their spirits, corrupting their sense of what is right and wrong. One must protect their energy and live in a high moral ground where low-vibrational people like this will never elevate to.

The main problem here is not 69 specifically, there are millions of 69s in our neighborhoods, our communities and even our households. Disgusting and unlawful, these individuals are shunned by society and pay back what they have done in isolation. But instead, the world has turned their head to high moral ground for the sake of this guy screaming into a mic? Without one talented bone in his body, he has become a cultural mogul of what society values. The world has no longer kept silent about their hidden injustices and disgusting lack of integrity. A man that once would have been buried in his own hole he dug himself now sees the light in a career chased by flames of forgotten ethics and sickly tomorrows.

To support such behavior sends a message to society that it is okay to have sex with children and that is the truth and nothing but the truth. Some music fans have fallen into depression because the allowance of his impact tells a much greater story and brings to life the lies of what the industry deems appropriate. Overall, no one cares about pedophiles until it happens to you, or a family member or your daughter- only then one will fully know the consequences of supporting a man like this. Daniel Hernandez is only one person but the violent message he spreads is a poison that has already become lethal.
